About Andrew

Coming from a technical background spanning more than 12 years I am a web and systems technologist with 7 years international management experience and an entrepreneurial mindset.

I am currently the Executive Director at Quiqcorp, a web and graphic agency. I have interests in a diverse range of businesses both locally and internationally.

I have a passion for progressive and innovative technologies as well as solving complex issues. I enjoy managing teams and projects as well as consulting on information architecture and systems issues.

With a background in systems administration and several years in the hosting industry I have an in-depth understanding of Linux, Windows and OS X environments and managing enterprise web stacks.

I believe web standards exist for a reason and I am happy to be an Invited Expert to the W3C HTML Working Group, however, I am also certain that standards exist to define new and innovative technologies already implemented by browser vendors, not the other way round.

I also enjoy writing, both blogs and books as well as developing and delivering training courses for continued education, especially in regard to eZ Publish and project management.
