		<description>Yes well that would certainly would have been one approach that could have worked. ActiveX should never have really made it to the internet - but to take it away completely didn&#039;t help anybody. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Microsoft has never been very good at cutting the tether on old technologies, there is simply too much money in maintaining legacy systems for clients who resist change.</description>

		<description>that&#039;s why ms should have forked the codebase long ago to INTRAnet explorer, where activex are left roaming wild and complete compatibility of the layout engine is assured forever, and INTERnet explorer, where they adopt standards much as everybody else does...</description>
